Tim Cook is an American business executive and the CEO of Apple Inc., one of the world’s largest technology companies. He was born on November 1, 1960, in Robertsdale, Alabama, USA. Cook joined Apple in 1998 as Senior Vice President for Worldwide Operations and became the Chief Executive Officer in August 2011, succeeding Steve Jobs.

Before joining Apple, Cook worked for computer company Compaq and IBM. He was responsible for setting up Apple’s first manufacturing and logistics operations in the Asia-Pacific region and played a key role in the company’s resurgence with the launch of the iMac, iPod, iPhone, and iPad. Under Cook’s leadership, Apple has seen tremendous growth, with its stock price increasing by over 400%.

Cook is known for his commitment to social and environmental responsibility, with Apple becoming one of the largest users of renewable energy in the world. He is also known for his support of diversity and equality, particularly in the areas of race, gender, and sexuality.

Cook holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering from Auburn University and a Master of Business Administration from Duke University. He has received numerous awards for his leadership and innovation, including being named the Fortune CEO of the year in 2019.
